FAQ

VORT or CBT/A, WHICH ONE IS BEST FOR ME?

- How many hours have you driven (start to cement things)
- Have you been practising what you have been taught
- Can you remember details (e.g. roadlaws)
- Can you stay reasonably calm and relaxed
- I would assess and advise

WHICH IS QUICKER VORT OR CBT /A
A difficult question that I get asked frequently.
In theory the VORT test because there are 29 tasks and a final drive with the CBT /A.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE LESSONS?
There are no rules.
Timescale, budget, Practising time are all considerations.

HOW MANY LESSONS DO I NEED?
How long is a piece of string.
It might take one person 4 lessons to be ready to take a VORT test, it might take the next person 8 lessons.
Everybody is different and again it comes down to hours driven and good practice.

CAN YOU TEACH AND TEST ME?
Only with the CBT /A.
The same accredited instructor signs the tasks and conducts the final drive with the CBT /A.
With the VORT test, if I prepare you for the test then a different examiner must conduct the test unless there has been a 6 month gap from the last lesson to the day of the test .
